Boats wanted for p2
We would like to see if there is any interest in putting a P2 class together again for 100-105 mph. We need boats to commit. There must be some old race/pleasure boats, Cat or V hull, outboards or I/O, naturally aspirated that can fit in this class 100-105 mph.
Examples: Motion 30-35', Spectre 30-36', Skater 24-36' Eliminators, Doug Wright, AMT Cat plus the Vee Bottoms that could run in this class. There has to be several potential boats that fit in this catergory. We feel that this would fill the void that these race boats currently don't fit in a class or don't have a place to race. We feel that there is a potential out there that this could be made into a fun and exciting class on and off the race course.Lets get the boats back out there and race again! Please feel free to respond with any interest , comments or suggestions.

Great idea. Someone should also put a program together to help recruit more boats for the other anemic classes. It must get boring racing against the same 1 or 2 boats every time out.
I think anyone would agree, that in order to have a strong organization and continue to grow there needs to be a focus on recruiting and maybe even some incentives.

Thank you. As you know we have joined OPA and are looking forward to more races especially now that instead of the 300 class it will will be class 200 with the sv class combined. If we can do a SBI class that is similiar they can run in both. There is such a big void between classes in SBI. We want our class back especially since we are a Florida boat and we really want to race. I know it can be fun and competitive. The potential is there we need to let them know about it. Where are all the older boats? This would be open for cats or v inboard or outboard similiar to the superboat extreme class but at 100mph open or canopy.
