Default 29 Scarab Re-Power - Twin 402's---Supercharged

We're in the process of a complete re-power and build. Prior to starting this project, I was hoping to find a blog like this to better understand what goes into a project like this...especially what it costs!

Thanks for looking!

Looks great. You are giving some inspiration to start work on my own 29.

I've had a procharged 509, and now back to a natural 509 making 589 at the flywheel.

bigger problem is rotten transom and stringers
Not looking forward to fixing!

Your twins look great!

WOW!!! Aamazing job on this project, I had the same boat with a 540 blower motor making 825 hp and a -1 inch shortie. it ran 85mph on gps. 1400 hp in that with shorties is going to be a rocket ship. what spee and props are you trying to reach? i am in the process of doing an old school scarab panther with twin 600 hp bbc with imco 3 up ext.boxes. nearing the engine installations and hopefully a sea trial soon.

We are in the process of propping it now. The boat should be in the water this week for the litany of testing and tweaking.
