What kind or power range are you looking for? Oval port or rectangular on the heads? I have a lot of parts lying around, including a set of Gil manifolds and risers. Look around in the Swap Shop section for used parts too.

Its a 330hp 454 w/vortec heads, what are you looking for on Gil manifolds and Heads?

Here is a link to my ad in Swap Shop:

These have the Silent Choice built into the risers. I saw your other thread where you were trying to determine what 454 you had, and it mentioned that the boat is a Crownline. If so, were you running thru-prop or transom exhaust? These might work really nice on a boat like that - you would still have the convenience of quieting it down if you want, but you could run it thru-hull when you want to romp on it. I had the SC on my boat and really liked it - in fact, I'm trying to adapt my Lightning headers to run with it.

I will sell just the manifolds and risers shipped to your door for $850. That is what I have in them.

Are you going to retain the Vortec heads, or are you going to run the 781's? Another casting you might consider is the GM 820. These have the large oval ports along with a 112 cc chamber - might not drop the compression quite as much as the 781. Have you decided on a cam?

These would be a nice option for a 310-330 engine. Get them bare, and dress yourself with Inconel valves...100cc chambers.....those heads, a cam, intake, would wake up a 330 big time with the stock pistons.

Those heads are nice!

I guess you need to give us a little more information on what you would like to achieve with your engine build, and how you plan to use the boat. To be honest, a Crownline is a darn nice boat, but not really designed to be a fast hull like the Fountains, Velocity, Formula, etc. It's more of an all-around sport boat. Are you just trying to get an extra 6-8 mph on an engine refresh, or are you trying to hit 80 MPH? You mentioned running boost, and that usually gives you the most bang for the buck, but that also involves forged reciprocating assemblies, head studs / MLS gaskets, and inconel valves if you want it to live.

Figure out what your budget needs to be, and then double it. Not trying to be a smart-azz, but that is the path most of us on this site have taken.

I have a set of 1.880 REV exhaust valves that only have about 30 hours on them. These are one step down from the extreme duty inconel alloy exhaust valves, and would probably be fine for a boat that is used mainly for cruising with some occasional spirited high speed runs. Combine these with a set of 2.19 / 2.25 intake valves to make your heads breathe better. Honestly, a set of aftermarket heads as suggested above would probably be a better bet than trying to do all the machine work to add bigger valves to a set of stock heads.

Thanks guys Just I'm limited on my motor with non forged internals. Just thinking if I should wait and til it pops then replace with 502. Also limited on budget too. Was just thinking exhaust and supercharger for now but not sure yet
