Well I was going to rebuild/reupholster my sundeck engine hatch his winter and after removing it I'm thinking about going another route. I kinda like the way it looks with the cushioned upholstery off and am thinking about laying down some nice thick SeaDek instead. It'll look cleaner and be a helluva a lot more user friendly as far as people getting on and off the boat. My only concern is that the current sundeck weighs a ton and I'm curious on how this will effect the boats performance either good or bad with the stern weight reduction? Any input appreciated.
