Why not take your's apart and have them chromed?

for the same money, you can sell your stock controls to someone looking to upgrade from old school stuff for a couple hundred dollars and buy new ones from livorsi for $650ish. IMO its not worth the hassle to pull your apart an have them chromed for the money difference.
