hp525 gauges lock up

hp525 gauges lock up

Hey guys wondering if you can help me. when I start the boat all gauges work great when I start driving for a while they all lock up except spedo. Has this happen to anyone before?

its a 2007 hp 525 with ex pkg on a 28 nordic heat

what do you mean lock up,are they wired analog or digital??

What else you want me to say. I drive the boat after a couple of min the gaugues dont move.

if I shut the boat on and off real fast they come back on

When you say "lock up" do you mean they go to zero, or are they pegged??

If it is effecting all the gauges, I would guess it's a ground issue.

They lock up at what ever position they are on. they dont drop or peg out.

You have a digital to analog converter on that boat. The engine uses the 14 pin connector so a converter must be installed to operate the analog gauges. My bet is the converter is messing up, or you've got a bad connection. They are not too expensive. First check connections, then just replace the converter.
