Didn't Allweis run the APBA at one point? Maybe I'm confused, it's been a while since I paid attention to offshore racing - seemed like it was more a pissing match than actual racing.

Yes he did. That was back when they had large boat counts. Manufacturers involved with Factory 1 and Factory 2 racing. Bat Boats for rent. GMC as a sponsor with good TV coverage on Speedvision. It was a weekend of racing at good race sites. To bad it imploded. Im sure it was an interesting deposition between Mike and John....
