Those motors look amazing sitting in that Formula and 81 is pretty good for an out the box package.

sounds like they need to try some 24 or 26 bravos, the maximus are good midrange and low speed props, the blades are to big for good top end.

Needs 1.65 gears and some high-rake props. Taking 450 pounds out of the back of that boat will require a bit of tuning. Can't wait to hear these beasts tomorrow!

I thought it was SCX upper? 1.50 is as low as it goes.

You make a very good point. The drive gear change notion came out of post-ride dock talk, without online access or the Teague or IMCO catalogs in hand. I will talk with Bob Teague and, if he's here in Miami, Fred Inman today and see what they might suggest along these lines.

And then I'll get back to you.

Curious as to why they did not package the Indy drive with this motor?

Overkill for the low HP - and much more expensive.
