Did you get it going today. What's the scoop?

No dice Doug. Worked on the truck tranny from 1:00 to 5:00 only to find it still doesn't shift. Tranny guy and I are gonna work on it some more tomorrow (it's an electrical issue, not gears or pumps). Because I can't tow it anywhere, I haven't been real busy with the boat repair. And it's a two man job and I couldn't get anyone to help me on a Friday night. Might get to some of it on Saturday afternoon after we work on the truck.

If you're not busy boating on Saturday( and you should be!!) feel free to stop over in the afternoon and lend a hand!! LOL!!!!

Oh, and i'm replacing the entire transom assembly instead of just the ring.

It's always sumpthin', isn't it. It's too hot to work on it this weekend, anyway. Supposed to cool off next week. Just relax and get your truck fixed. Then you can work on the boat. Take your time and do it right the first time.

God damn foul what is up with the truck???? Man that totally sucks!!! Wasn't there a warrantee with that thing? Hope it all starts to turn for you real soon.

I am so Go# Da&% Fu%$ing pissed off right now!!!!!!!!!

Neighbor is the tranny guy at a dodge dealer. Said he would help me fix it today (Saturday) at the shop if I was home by 12:30 from work (he is leaving for vacation at 3:00-3:30). I got home at 12:29. Said it would only take about 45 minutes to an hour to fix. Fu%$er is already in Cadilac, MI, 90 miles away!!!!!!!! Gonna be gone for a week. He is going to warrantee the soleniod pack in my tranny (very expensive part and I'm broke), which is fine. But now I can't even tow the boat to the lake even if it was fixed!!!!!!!!! No note at my house. No voice mail. Nothing. Just left me hanging.

This is one of those situations I just don't understand. I would NEVER have done this to a freind/neighbor. Never.

Scooter, I spent the whole evening last night UNDER my truck with no luck. BGIII stopped by a little while ago and helped me get the drive off the boat. I WAS SUPPOSED to be fixing my truck this afternoon, that's why I didn't call you for some help. Not that I didn't want your help, just that I WAS SUPPOSED to be tied up this afternoon with the truck. I am really pissed at my neighbor for standing me up like he did.

Well my truck runs-- $1200 later and 2 weeks of back breaking work after getting home from working in the heat that we have been having. Totaly reworked heads- did a little porting, valve job,sleeve water passage that cracks,bronze wall the guides. New high flow engine water pump, new water cross over with dual thermostats. Recalibrated fuel injection pump-turned up to 15% over stock. New batteries. EGT to go along with the boost guage I already had.

Hey I can't leave anything alone.

Now all I have to do is clean up the mess I made in the garage.

Mike, It really sucks when people let you down like that. What was he thinking, that you could just walk until he got back from vacation? I 'll bet he has an "interesting" excuse for you when he gets back home. Unfortunately, I deal with jerks like that every day in my line of work. It seems to be the norm for many people nowadays. The good still outweigh the bad though, thank God.

I wish I knew someone that could help with the warranty but, I don't. Good luck, Doug

P.S. The Lake was great this afternoon. My wife and I went all the way from Holland to St. Joe and back. 115 miles. Lake was flat south of Saugatuck all the way to St. Joe. Only thing you had to look for was boat wakes. Best water I have had all year, so far.
