I'm gonne be upgrading from an X drive, and am wondering if I should be looking for a minus 2 inch lower. Everything I read suggests that if the transom assembly is 2 or 3 inches below the rubrail, the centreline of the prop will be at least that far below the centre sponson. This is an open bow, and am not sure how that plays into the equation. Any advice? Power will be around 800 hp. Thanks.

Not an expert - but have read a lot doing research - most guys have installed the -2 inch drive with good results.
