Any 30' guys want go from Alum to Steel Trailer??
Being in Florida I'm trying to figure out if I want to redo this one or upgrade to an aluminum. It's a stout trailer. 8" side beams and (8) 6" tall crossmembers. Tires are 16.5" diameter.
It's got 6000 lb, 8 lug axles with drums on both. Brakes were new a little over a year ago with new lines and new lights.
Tires were also new at the time along with bunks.
The tubing is showing signs of rist, but the trailer was not used most of it's life and overall is still solid.
It was towed down from NY in Oct of 2011, and I towed it again up north roughly 2200 miles roundtrip last summer.
