Default Why size prop?

I have a 24 P&D with a sbf 351w pushing about 300-330 hp and putting a bravo 1 drive with a 1:50 ratio. What prop should I be looking to run?

I'd start with a 19" 3 blade of either the Laser II or Mirage variety.

I'd look at a 21. 19 will get you out of the hole fast but a 21 may provide est cruise and top speed

I agree, 21 mirage. If you want to try one, bring the boat up here, I have a 21 mirage, and 21 trophy 4 blade we can throw on there to try.

Ok sounds good, I have a 21 laying around the house that I was trying to sell but I guess that one might be it haha what's the advantage of the 21 4 blade over the 3 blade

I'm not a prop guru but from what I've read on here 4 blades give better bite and cruise mannerisms but shave a lil on top end. 3 blades just run faster. I'd try 3 blade and see how it feels

4 blades tend to be smoother and get out of the hole much better. They hold better during hard turns and are generally more efficient at cruise/mid-range speeds. They tend to be a little slower at top end in most, but not all cases.

Carrying that extra blade provides more bite but also adds drag as the motor has to swing one extra blade through the water. It is common to use a 4 blade prop with about 1" less pitch for the same boat as compared to a 3 blade. The 4 blade will usually have a slightly smaller diameter to a comparable 3 blade. Again that is a generality.

Any guesses on what speeds I should be looking at after the bravo is on and obviously with the right prop and the horsepower as stated earlier? I can't wait to have everything put together!!!
