Default How long before epoxy is not wet enough to bond?

Wondering how long you have working with a product like MAS slow epoxy (tends to kick in the cup in about 10 minutes when is above 80 out) where you can still get a good wet on wet bond. I have heard of using a cotton ball and if you dab it on the glass and it still pulls some of the cotton off then your good to go?
