Cat or Vee. Many well known quality boats out there right now, many people looking, say what you know about a solid boat. Don't want to violate the rules for classifieds, just put out some good advice and talk about some boats!

Go Fast or cruiser?
Lake, ocean or both?
Do you want to overnight?
How long?
Do you need to tow and if so how far?
I/O or outboard?
Looking for big top speed?
Signal or twin?
Kids or no kids?
and a bunch others I'm sure.
For us......I really like my 29 Baja Outlaw for where we are in life right now. Mostly just my wife and I. We overnight on the boat a fair amount both at lakes and in the ocean so the cabin is a must. Sink, porta potty and a grill allows us to cook on board.
We tow a long way for both lake and ocean boating, 300mi each way to the ocean, 400mi each way to Havasu and Mead, so the 29' boat is about as big as I would like to tow that far each trip.
Love the sound and power of the motors and the "spare" motor when offshore. Would like better mileage and lower maintenance so next boat may be outboard.
Top speed is not a big deal to us but cruise at 45-50 is fine.
The boat feels very solid and safe offshore but is still not to big for most lakes we go to.
And finally for us, the price was right.
Your right, it is still a buyers market, so you should be able to get something to suit your needs at your price no problem.

Looks like I have a buyer flying in next week. Still, it's a screaming deal and an extremely clean boat with a HUGE stereo

This seems reasonable. $209K ASKING price. for a well powered, good-looking 40' Skater
