anyone have experience with awlprip's metallic paint either topcoat or 2000 vs basecoat/clearcoat system ?

No experience with that brand. Did a complete single stage metallic job on a truck once. Base clear is the way to go. Especially if your a novice with a gun...

single stage metallic seem to be harder to control the metalics sink to the bottom. constsnt mixing is required
