Question Best launch ramp southern shore of Great Sacandaga???

Looking to seatrial a 24' boat toward the end of April. Is Great Sacandaga water level good at that time of year? What's the best ramp facility on the southern part of the lake. Looking for easy access from Thruway. Thanks.

theres a public boat launch in Broadalbin. water level is very low this year but theres lots of snow up north so it should start filling up pretty quick. last year at the end of april water was def too low for boating.

Thanks for info. Please update if the run off raises the level.

as of today there is still quite a bit of ice on the lake, should be off in a week, maybe two. Early boating or at least that early isn't the best, there tends to be a lot of debris in the water that is picked up off the shores when the water rises, if you go out keep a couple people with their eyes open, especially if you plan on doing any speed runs.

this link will give you the level anytime. You probably want to see it at least in the low 760 range if you know where youre going, ideal would be over 765. 771 is full, only about 20 feet to go......
