30ft Lightning Canopied 4 person Cat (No Power)
#1
I started this project a few years back and only work on it during the winter, but should be finished soon.
It's the old Hooters triple engine race boat, I raced it with the F16 2 person set up for a couple years till it just became to difficult to poker run and play with.
A few winters back I removed the F16 set up and widened the cockpit area making it a 4 person poker / race boat. We than grafted on a 4 person 2 hatch canopy. This set up allows you to remove the lids to play or keep them on for racing.
The boats having finial body work done now on the canopy and will be sold less power.. but every thing else.
- Fuel pumps
- Two person air system
- Ship to shore
- 6 Pt belts for the driver / throttle man.
- Triple axle trailer.
- Hyd. steering
- Jack plates
- Tunnel tab
Keep in mind this is a "race boat", not a high dollar cat (its has some war scars but is structurally solid ready to roll.
She ran low 90's with 2.5/260 motors and the way wrong props.. she was raced in class #4 (85mph) so thats how I set it up. 100 with 2.5/280's should not be a problem.
e-mail me at [email protected] for more info or if you would like to take a look.

Wow Rick this is a suprise. Good luck with the sale !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone is going to get a solid boat to work with. I wish I were in the market for one, that would be a nice upgrade from my 25OE. Bill
