The secret's in the alcohol. Very forgiving fuel. 'cept you gotta pump twice as much through you're motor at about 15:1 or turn the boost up to a zillion pounds to get the same power as the same quantity of gasoline.

Bingo! On gasoline, that thing's about 750-800, and will need much more cooling capacity.

NO cooling problems hear ! It's air cooled ! Yup ,the air goes in the front of the block and back out the intake . Just pull out all the plugs and let it breath ! Alcohol does run cooler and makes more power but not THAT much more . I think it was good for around 10% which would knock it down to around 1000hp . Not too bad for a stock bottom end 427 with 11 to 1 compression ,GM iron heads , an OLD 6-71 blower with no teflon . This thing is unbeleivable ! IT always wins 2 or 3 classes . It even wipps several 2 and 3 engine machines on a regular basis !

SO what to do Thursday night ?
1)Paint my engine compartment .....
or
2) Go scream this thing down the track !

The engine isn't air cooled it is alcohol cooled. The large amount of alcohol evaporating inside the engine cools the engine. The alcohol dragsters have a hard time getting the engine hot enough.
