Default 2007+ 35 & 38ft sizing differences

Hey guys, I know Fountain redesigned their 35 and 38 footers sometime in the 2007 model year.

I wanted to know the sizing difference between those specific 2007+ 35 and 38 Fountains. Where did the extra room go in the 38ft VS the 35ft.

Thanks fellas!

The 2007 35 went to staggered so the cockpit is tight, but its fast as hell so who cares. The 38 went from a semi staggered to a full staggered in 08 so the cockpit also got smaller, but again its fast so....... I think thats what you are asking. The 38 is a totally different boat its not just 3 more feet, but it depends on where you boat and what you want her to do.

When buying my 35 I compared to a new 38.
The cockpits seemed the same size on both boats, the added 3 ft. was in the bow.
Cabin differences were a little more headroom and the lounger seats along side were a few feet longer in the 38.

So basically what you guys are saying is that the 35ft Lightning got updated in 2007 and the 38ft Lightning got updated in 2008.

Where is the extra room on the 38ft(compared to the 35ft) :

1) Cabin/bed

2) Cabin/C-shaped bench

3) Cabin/"kitchen", head

4) Cockpit

5) Engine bay

Thanks again boys!
