Installing new oil coolers, question is where to install them!
Can not put in the back of the motor.
Thinking about installing them in front of the engine below the crank pulley, it would make for an easier access if needed.
What are your thoughts
Also this is for a twin engine application.
Thanks

We put them on the rear of the engines so that we can keep the engine as self-contained as possible. If I don't install an engine and ship it, I don't want to rely on someone else to make, properly clean and install the oil lines. There is a chance that they may screw it up. I want to be able to make and install the lines so that I know they are correct. With that being said, I would actually prefer to have the cooler down low so that there is no way that it will drain when the engine is shut down. So, your idea will work just fine. As mentioned, keep them away from moving parts and be sure to clean the hoses well before you install them.
