Default 42' Fountain staggered setup advise

Hey guys,
Here is my scenario.

2006 Fountain Lightning 42' Staggered
600sci
Bravo XR drives, 1.50 ratio
2" spacers
Hering 6 blade 15.5" X 34 - 20
5,400 rpm
85 mph
27% prop slip

Shouldn't I have more speed and less prop slip? Any help or advice would be appreciated. The drives will be apart for another week so if it a spacer issue I need to know quick.
Thanks!

Yes you should be faster. We just did a 07 42 with 525s, shipped running 90-92 mph.

How are the props done?

I am assuming that they are labbed, thin sharp blades with no cup and diffuser ring cut off or reduced?

Where does a 2" spacer put your propshaft in relation to the bottom of the boat? How does it get on plane, lugs, blows out, normal?

Assuming your drives are not still to high sounds like you need a lot more cup of the tips of your blades so they can get some grip on the water, and if the diffuser ring is cut off put it back on. You should also try some different props to get a better idea of what the boat needs. It might be just the props or could be setup issue with the drives also.

Default fixx

make sure if the boat has low water pick up's they are not creating any interference with the props...making too many air bubbles causing then to slip..
