Default renting a boat instead of a house or condo in florida

is it possible to rent a boat like a 38 to 50 foot cruiser type, and not even run the boat? just like a nice place to stay in a marina, with swimming pool, and live a week or two in a marina lifestyle?

thanks for your input ss to where and how much, if possible of course!

Last Thankgiving we rented a 42 grand banks out of Sarasota and rolled in the ICW down to Fort Myers and back over the week. Stayed on the anchor a couple of nights and also stayed at some marinas. Really enjoyed it and it forced me to slow down a bit.
Chitwood Charters was the company that we rented from.

How does the bareboat work? Do they just give you a checkout before they turn you loose?

Default How does bareboat work....?

Insurance is tough. I have been inspected before, and they paid....but let me know after that they would not be taking the vessel.

I spend a minimum two hours at 100per showing pre-inspection, safety procedure, lat-lon for locating on paper charts, and use of electronics. If they claim to be experienced, I give them 30 minutes to prove it for free.....leaving dock, coming back, crossing wakes, take off and slow down....handling lines.

If they fail any portion, basic training a 100per hr. Till I feel ok.
