Anyone know the average rate for a Mechanic to ride along during a test run? I'm purchasing a 2nd hand boat and would like a Mechanic to ride with me.

Do one better and have a structural and mechanical survey done.

Now I need to find a Mechanic in the Lake Conroe area.

I can ask my mechanic if he is interested. He is merc certified and runs a mobile marine business there. He is in the Conroe area. I will send him a msg if you would like.

If you could let him know its a 1997 Baja OL29 SST. Twin Merc 7.4l 454's. 173hrs on the engines. I arrive home April 18 and scheduled to test run on Friday the 19th.
