Default New to OSO with a new to me 26 Nova Spyder

Hey guys been a member here but never really posted. I just picked up a 1989 26 Nova Spyder with twin 454's running 23p mirage props. any info would be great and or suggestions. Want to put silent choice exhaust and do new gauges any suggestions on upgrades or performance modifactions i can do. any input and knowledge is greatly appreciated. Also anything I should look for in particular or check is also wanted info.

Anything I should look for maintenance wise specific to these boats rigging suggestions general info on the boat itself etc. I'm having a hard time finding anything on them unfortunately

Congrats on the boat. I believe you can still find specs on it from wellcraft online with a little effort.

I knew nothing about them either before buying mine a year ago. What I can tell you is that they are well built boats. Fiberglass floors, drop out bolsters, kiekhaefer controls, electric engine lift, 105 gallon fuel tank, huge engine compartment (easy to work on the motor), thru transom exhaust, nice rigging etc etc. I have been very impressed with the build quality. Ive also been VERY impressed with the ride that this boat offers. 23 degree transom deadrise and it handles ANYTHING I can throw at it (5 footers are easy to go thru). I only hit 55 mph with a single 454 mag and bravo 1 but Ill take it. Very reliable package.

Are you sure?I was in a baja 38 special last season that had a rough time in 5 footers!!! 5 footers are bigger than you think!!!
