I honestly have no idea. I pulled the picture from 15-second video sent to me. I should have a better image later today.

Just for fun, I ran some numbers based on the previous performance data given in the first story.

The boat ran 72mph with a 144 cu supercharged small block. Approx. 400-420hp?? I'd guess the weight of this boat to be 3500lbs. This would yeild a C factor (hull efficiency) of 181 -Also a good friend did this same combo in the exact same boat with identical results.

With this data, my estimate with 650hp calculates to 90mph. To achieve 100 hp, it would take approximately 800hp.

Cool stuff, like the little boats too, looking forward to the results.

Fred (White Racing Engines) builds a great, tough motor, so I wouldn't worry about that... but I sure wouldn't want to be around when he unleashes it in that boat!

Let's just hope the final update doesn't read - 100-mph Chaparral Project Update: Boat violently chine-walks, hooks, then barrel rolls during prop testing.

I think I read he's planning to run an Alpha drive, so chances are it will shred before he gets rolling fast enough to really hurt himself.
