Default Super Hawaii "Super Sweet" Makeover

OK, everyone seems to like the makeover threads so here is one for a current OSO member "Payton" and his 1991 34' SUPER HAWAII - named Super Sweet!

Mark contacted me last fall after the boating season was over and based on the great story of Peir 57's "Active Thunder" wanted to redo his boat. Not to the full scale of pulling engines, and painting the trailer, but still a large project.

(Current status) After we stripped the cockpit and cabin interior late last year Mark decided to go ahead with a full custom paint job with Kustom Kolors located in the same area. Hopefully Clayton will post some of his paint photos that he took while doing the paint work. I do have a few myself. I will start with posting all the before photos up to the point where we are now, then we will start with the comments and suggestions for Mark.

Default Original Cockpit Interior

Here is the original factory cockpit interior and Mark's main comment was "update it".

Default Stringer/footrest issue

One of the things Mark did not like was how small the footrest area was at the drivers dash, so we had another local guy Kevin Brown of Lakeway Boat Repair do some modifications for him. While doing the footrest Kevin noticed a smaller stringer that had broke loose and was rotting. He also took care of that and added floor support.

Default Time for New Paint Job!

Not that there was any real problems with the decal graphics that were on the boat, I am glad Mark decided on a cool custom paint job from Kustom Kolors. Also, have to thank Sublime Grafix for the great artwork.

Love it!

Default Original Cabin in Green

Here are some shots of the original cabin interior in shades of green. Not what I would choose. I do have to say that even though the Norcold, and tube TV broke loose it is a very well built cabin area.

Default The Teardown

Time to gut it! You would not believe how many staples had to be pulled in the cabin.

Default New XT Electric Bolster Design

OK, Marks boat will be the very first boat to have the never before seen electric drop bottom bolster designed by XT-Innovations. While the boat was getting most of the paint work completed we undertook the long process of designing a new bolster to showcase in the SUPER.

Well back to work and I should have some new cabin and cockpit photos of the progress next week. I think we will have a very uncommon looking very cool boat before long.
