Default Pressure testing manifolds

I wanted to check my gil manifolds before putting them on my new blower motor so all I did was plugged one side of the water exit and made a fitting on the inlet to put an air pump on. My gauge broke while I was trying to test both manifolds so I don't know how my air I put in. I added air till the rubber hoses would start to bulge from the air and let them sit for a few minutes and no air leaked out. I'm assuming that means the manifolds are good? Anything else to look for? I really don't want to have one leak and destroy my new motor.

Thanks in advance.

my compressor has a regulator on it. I set it to 50psi, and hook air up to the manifold. Then submerge in a tub of water, watching for air bubbles.

Also, You can rig up water from the garden hose, and cap the end of the manifold's water exit port. Make sure the manifold is completely dry before you start. Then, turn the water valve on and let it sit pressurized, and watch for water dripping inside the manifolds.

most of the time you can jam the garden hose end into the 1'' hose and hose clamp it, and it will seal tight.
