I just went through this. I went to 5 different banks and credit unions. Twelve years was the cut off that I found.

Key Bank, State Farm and credit union. I was looking at something from 1978 that they were OK with financing and insuring.

depends on the bank you may have to check around. a lot of them only do 10-15 years old. and if they do it nada will be what they go by and they only might do 75%-90% of nada very few will actually do 100% of nada and I do not beleive any will do more than nada. Often times you may have to come to the table with cash.

The problem with older boats is that often times nada does not reflect market value real well on older boats. Take for instance my 91 fountain I think nada if I were to look at today says the boat is worth 17 and if a bank only does 75% of of nada, tha means they would give me around 13k. Well market wise try and find any fountain for that matter under 20k that actually runs. Last year I thought about trading and was going to be given 26 for mine, so you can see the disparity.

But it is doable, but you will probably have to bring some cash, but IMVHO not paying at least some down on a toy that depreciates daily is bad business.

I financed a 1990 predator marine viper with fiery united credit union. With no problems. But my credit score is over 785 tho that might have a lot to do with it as well
