Does anyone have any experience with a -2 inch shorty lower on a 25ZX or 27ZX with the non-stepped pad bottom? I would appreciate any input. I have a 25ZX that will be havinbg the engine refreshed and am thinking about a shortie lower with my B1 upper.

Yeah, Im well aware of that project. Unfortunatley I dont have time to read thru 500+ posts. Also, I am not talking about adding an extension box, just a shorty.

alot...87 dont have steps were a 97 does..on your friends boat leav the engine where its at and use a shorty drive to get the x dimension where you want it..i dont like raising engines in boats,if anything i would lower it for handling purposes..also you will have to really do some extensive glass work to the transom to raise the engine 3 or 4 inch's..that also costs alot more money then a shorty..
