I've got the Corsa Quick and Quiet, the NON switchable, on my 33 Outlaw. Anyone familiar with this setup?
Looking under the external rubber flappers I see some rivets...and of course I'm wondering if said rivets can be drilled out and removed to open it up more for some sound? Can these through hull mufflers be modded for a little more sound or is there a better way? I did google quite a bit and really came up with nothing other than people just changing out to switchable or straight (really loud). I've read enough about reversion to know better than to start messing around with something before I ask!
Or maybe the answer lies more in capping off the diverter that goes down to the drives?

Decided that I needed to get me some mufflers before the popo got after me for noise. Got two sets of the mufflers you have. First time starting the boat sounded like someone farting in a mud puddle, even the wife hated it.
First thing I did was drill out those rivets and remove those baffels like you mention. It did sound better. The motors hated those mufflers though. Even modified I lost about 300 RPM with them on.
So i would not worry about reversion if you take those baffels out. It will sound a little better. But different tips will allow your motors to breath better.

I had the same exhaust you are describing. I ordered the y-pipe caps from Hardin Marine as well as their exhaust tips. Sounds 100 times better. You will get a little rattle from the caps at idle but it is well worth it in my opinion.

cmk - Thanks! Great info. I'll look into it. This sounds more like what my mechanic was saying he remembered hearing guys were doing with these.
Wonder how it would sound with just the Y pipe caps...running through the stock mufflers? I guess I can always try!
