Question Key West Places to Stay

My wife and I are looking at going to the Keys from Saturday, January 11th - 18th. Does anyone have any ideas about where to stay? Thanks for your help.

Depends on what you're looking to do, and what your price range is...there is everything from a $ 100/night Days Inn style hotels by the airport (Roosevelt Ave, where the beach is) to a $300/night Hyatt, Pier House Ocean Key Club on the north side of the island (end of Duval, Old Towne, etc.)....

Question

Do you want to be in Actuall Key West or just in the Keys themselfs? And drive down to Key West? We stayed in Islamorada and it was a blast!!! Awesome boating and diving! And only just over an hour away from Key West its self.

I highly recommend the Best Western Ambasador. It has a sweet pool and Tiki bar.

Key West is nice to visit but not stay.

Few tips. Don't fly to Miami. Go to West Palm and then drive down through the Keys. Awesome ride.

We just stayed at http://www.hawkscay.com/ and KW is only an hour or so south. Now this is a nice resort.

We are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay close to the ocean. We will probably dive, fish, and go boating.

The wife is hooked on the KOA campground on Sugarloaf, 20 miles to Key west...a few slips ...although a larger boat than 28 may be tight...fuel and rental campers up to 35' i think..... pool , bar , food a little beach swimming area and a decent price......they also have rental boats .,,they are nothing to be too proud of but they'll get you out there (maybe)

We also would recommend the " Best Western Key Ambassador " ( 305 ) 296 - 3500 ... You will find that their rates are decent and the pool and tiki bar are awesome.....
They are also one of our sponsors.................
