Default old school props

i have a 1985 10meter ex.when i bought the boat a few years back the old owner had just installed new quick silver 24 four bladed propes.anybody know what the boat had on it from the factory.the motors were 370 merc,s.now they are 496,s making about 550hp.thanks

Probably had 23 or 25 pitch 3 blade trs cleavers. They sucked.

You mean like a mirage cleaver?i thought i read somewhere that the four blade props put alot more strain on the trs drive.

I'm sure MILD THUNDER is talking about the old through hub exhaust Merc cleavers.
They were very basic cleaver based relatively flat pitched blades on a 4.75" exhaust tube.

He's correct that those most likely did come on that application. They were fast on the top end with a boat that is balanced well. They were poor in most other rpm ranges other that WOT. I have a bunch of them here for anyone who needs them.
