Welcome. And congrats on the purchase. Imo they are cool little boats and run decent. My buddy picked one up for a while with a 502/bravo set up. Very nimble and fast but scary @75 he said (he had a 24 Sunsation run mid 90's). If in anything bigger than 1.5' it will beat you.

Had one back in 99 myself, 350 (377 roller motor) mag bravo. 73-77 all day long. Leave like it is and enjoy it. If you want faster I'd sell it and get a different hull. Very sketchy above 70 even with tabs.

thanks for the welcomes and the info!! yeah i understand that.. im thinking about throwing a corsa thru hull on it and maybe some vortec heads and be done with it.. she is a little slow getting outta the water.. im gonna play with the prop this summer.. plus the cuddy has spider cracks in the gelcoat all over so i maybe be sanding that down next winter.. would really like to learn all the repairing on exteriors for boats anyway

I had a 2000 230sx, a lot of bang for your buck! But brutal ride in ANY chop, and scary to drive/ride in over 60 and trimmed out. Great boats for inland lakes though. (that boat is where my screen name came from)
