. Need help this is what I found after pulling my tank ( pics wont come up- iPhone issues, changing fuel line and overall cleaning of the tank. But I believe this is a "double" floor. Any advice materials or next step is greatly appreciated! Thanks OSO! there are other pics under the classic offshore topic for 87 IMP restoration if interested. Here is the link.

next determine weather theirs any rot..next you will need to remove the delaminated fiberglass..call uscomposits.com and get some tabbing material.comes in differant widths so its up to you what you order and you need to order 1708 tabbing material..next you will need some vinylester resin..once you get all that let us know and we can move further..
^^^^ scratch the tabbing coming loose..looks like your boat has a liner in it..yes which is part of the top and rests on the bottom of the boat..you will need to glass that back together..or it it was mine i would cut the whole section out and what ever you took out replave in the same thickness as glass and tie the upper deck to the lower hull..whe weight of the fuel tank most likely did thes or water gor in their and frose abd cracked it..either way it needs to be fixed..after you remove that section you will need to install a pvc pipe under the tank so if you get water up front it can drain to the bilge..

Bringing this thread back up. My summer was ruined due to a influx of work to get me through the winter but anyhow. Seems my inner liner does not exist once I cut out the delaminating section. But the engine bilge has a liner which I cut a small section in the rear by the drain to sit in my bilge bump to remove all water in the hull. I cleaned out so much crap from the front to the back it was sad. Even found old saw blades from when they manufactured it. But I was able to pull the wood strips and the fiberglass strips that the tank rested on and will be re-installing those over the next few months. But main reason for bringing this up is I found where some of the wood seems to be in somewhat poor shape at the bottom around the tank cavity per say. Would it be better I cut the whole section out and replace before re-installing the tank. And found a multitude of old holes drilled in the upper deck. What would be the best filler to keep from water going down towards the stringers? I will post pics later tonight if my photobucket is working properly. And always thanks for advise from our fiberglass masters on OSO!
