Cool Alright, Someone in the Gov't has a backbone!

Check this out!!

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/...me%2Dheadlines

We have been saying all along that the Gov't should have NEVER settled any of these LAWSUITS brought on by the ECO-RADICALS!! We have to see what happens in the hearing on 7/31/02. Go DOJ!

"What is it that the feds would do that the state's not already doing" They should use that line on the fed board of education too. I think that was the same question that was being asked when te civil war started. Everyone keep their fingers crossed for us boaters here in FL.

I hope they void the rulings and force the STMC to start over again. This time we should be able to voice our opinion.
Maybe by then the state will have an accurate manatee count.

Wouldn't it be funny if the ruling was voided and they found the manatee population high enough to remove it from the endangered species list?

At least it's a step in the right direction.

BD,
Let's hope so! CFW VP Tom Mcgill thinks this might be the crack in the SMC dam that the citizens of FL. are looking for.

More importantly, in the event that the previous settlement is overturned and it goes back for public comment, we need to be there in full force.

Like someone mentioned in my other thread(suv's), "There's more of us than them, but they are more vocal."

BD,
Shane is correct and so are you, in that, if this is thrown out, then we have got to show up in force and voice our concerns. We need to let our ELECTED officials know how we feel. We, the citizens of Fl. EXPECT them to represent us as the TRUE majority that we are now.
