chiller plumbing advice needed

I just recently bought two new Teague Custom Marine 250 Blower chillers for My TG and am wondering what is the best way to do the plumbing????
I have heard all sorts of mixed reviews and ideas...
I have heard tap in to the engine water pick up...(from the pump)
I have heard to use the pickup from the drives.
and I have heard to put a separate pick up, that would be forced/ipressure fed.
My first choice was to tap in using the water that comes out of my strainer... I have a big stainless marine strainer with stainless Marine custom water transom pickups with 1.25" plumbing...
I have mercury high performance water pumps with a hardon marine stainless steel water pump housing. which I believe is 1 inch for the plumbing.
or I was thinking of using the water pickups from the drives and have it fed through that plumbing and forced who which means I would have to add an additional strainer and will not continue to provide cooling in the chiller area on at slow speeds. I have my engine out and have access to the water pickups from the drives for plumbing.
the other option to add another water pick up off my transom. this scenario faces the same issue as the 1 listed above...
I need the help of the pros and them guiding me in the right direction

Here is the way I am plumbing mine. From all I have heard you do not want water running through them at idle because it will cause fuel puddling and a rough idle. Check out this link: http://teaguecustommarine.com//media...r_plumbing.pdf

I would just use the pickups from the drives. I would assume that you are running water through them and dumping it somewhere already.
You should also run a pressure relief valve so you don't damage the chillers.

When running intercoolers, you don't want water passing through while idling or you will experience loading up, from fuel puddling in the intake. (the cold intercooler turns the atomized fuel air mixture back into liquid form) -Terrible fuel distribution. Some cyls very wet/fowled plugs. You only want water passing through the coolers while on plane.
My Top Gun was already fitted with Superchillers when I bought it, plumbed to flow when ever the engine was running, ran terrible through idle zones. Mine were plumbed (fed) off the block crossovers where the 1.25" raw water hose was fitted. I installed an adjustable water pressure relief valve (Mc Master-Carr or Hardin Marine) on the intercooler feel line, so there was only water flowing through the cooler when block pressure reached 10 lbs. Solved the loading up issues.
When we intalled the Whipple intercoolers on my Cig Mystique, we added separate transom mount pick ups, plumbed to Hardin sand strainers fitted with water pressure relief vavles (Mc Master-Carr) to protect the intercooler core aginst pressure spikes. -The relief dumps out through-hull fittings directly above the drives, and the intercoolers dump back into the same relief dump. Works great as a drive shower too.
