Just transferred in from the coast guard and only got to do a little boating last summer. I have a Baja 32 Caliber and I was wanting to know where people liked to boat around here. I only went to torch and west bay last year but I also had a smaller boat. Yall think I would be able to get my boat in torch lake?

We boat out of TC all summer. Mainly starting in west bay and head to power island, suttons bay, east bay, northport, charlevoix etc. You will have no problems on torch or elk. Great places to boat! See you this summer!

We do the same, but we haven't done Torch or Elk lakes. Used to be TC based, but now with a bigger stay-aboard size boat we stay in Elk Rapids when we get time to get away and boat.

I launch at White water township launch on Elk lake and go down the torch river quit often, keep drives up and stay in middle of river as much as possible and you should be good.
I also launch out of Elk Rapids on East Bay often also and head over to Petobego pond area sand bar, very clean large sand bar, soetimes head to beaver Island, Charlevoix.
Hope to see you out there.
