Been a long time since playing with outboards. Very much out of touch with what works/priced right. Would appreciate input on something like this little Skater.

Be sure to ride in it before you buy it. Some small cat setups porpoise at any speed other than WFO. Can be very annoying. The 21 skater (and the copies) are my favorite boat ever. Very fast and handles chop like a much bigger boat. This one seems like a good deal.

The price seems about right and yes they are cool boats. They do fantastic in bigger water for their size and with a 300 they run very well. The only issue some 21 skaters faced is that more than a few rolled over in turns. I'm sure a lot of this has to do with who's behind the wheel. I also believe with this boat being built in the early 90's there should not be any tank problems.

Vinylester is ethanol proof? -My vintage 76 Penton fiberglass tank reacted badly (softened the glass, gummed up the filter) with ethanol. Thought it was vinylester, although very well could be polyester.

This 24 was completely redone and the guy was asking $36k with twin power. I guess he sold the motors. It's still a SWEET boat especially if you already have power for $20k. I bet he'd take less because it's been for sale a little while and the guy's house was recently damaged in Sandy.
