Which one should I buy?? I have twin 454 magnums gen IV, all stock, and need to get new fuel pumps. There are a lot of them out there and I cannot find any guidance in the post on which ones are better than others. Not looking for bling, just reliability. Adding to my confusion is the number of used fuel pumps listed on here for sale. In my simple mind, the fuel pumps do not cost that much so is there a reason I should look at a used unit for my application?? Thanks

I know jegs and summit both sell these?? Little pricey but look like good quality and can also run e-85. So race fuels won't hurt it!

Edit-- I also rebuilt my 6valve- edelbrock race mech. Fuel pump. Worked out very well and cheaper than new plus the knowledge of doing it! But Marine rated is a +

I always ran one of the Holley 110 GPH marine models on my old Mk IV motor. Should also fit Gen VI - same mounting boss. To be honest, you can take the fitting off of one of the marine units and press it right into the weep hole on an automotive unit. That is the ONLY difference. The only other concern might be having a part number that says marine on it in case of an insurance claim, but I don't know if they would ever dig that far other than to see that it has the marine rated return line back to the carb.

Now, if you thought down the road you'd be adding blowers, or something, i'd go straight to a six valve pump with 1/2NPT ports.
