Default 2 Prop questions about my nordic rage, 21p and a 28p

So I talked to BB blades today and they recommended a 21P 5 Blade prop for wakeboarding and water sports and said I should be able to still hit 55MPH before red line

Does this sound about right with an 2005 Nordic rage with 496HO?

And for go fast they said a 4 blade 28p labbed prop, they said 78-80mph-ish with that setup

Basically I need a prop to jump out of the hole and a prop for hauling ass, and I still have my OEM 26P for general use.

Any input would be great, I ordered the 21P threw there exchange program.

I have a 2010 Rage MCOB with a 496HO and I run a 26P 4 Blade to 75MPH at about 400FT above sea level. I am about 5000RPM. I think the 21P might be really aggressive but then again I have never tried one. I have thought about getting a 28p labbed prop to see what top speed I can get out of it..What elevation do you run at?

I run at sea level, with the 26p i can see about 72-73mph with half tanks of fuel

Well holy ****, I just tested out the 5 blade 21p signature prop from BB blades.

Its awesome, time to plane is cut in half, and I can still hit about 67mph on gps

We didn't have alot of time to test it but im keeping it for sure.
It accelerates so much faster now, it feels like I picked up 150hp

Anyone that is looking for a prop for water sports or tubing on a rage with a 496 should try this thing out. Tommorow we will be out most of the day on the lake and ill report back.

Im really suprised that I only lost 6mph going from a 4blade 26p to the 5 blade 21p.

Which 5 blade is that? Is it labbed or stock?

Its just a Signature 21P 5 Blade prop that I bought from 399 from Bblades

This prop kicks ass, totally transformed the boat, while its not great for top speed runs I can still hit Mid 60's before redline. Which is fine for playing around and if I want to go fast I can change props in 10 min in the water to my 26P 4 Blade

The acceleration with the 5blade is insane compared to the 4blade, My GPS spedo cant keep up and lags behind when under full throttle pulls. I think I get on a plane now im about 3 seconds, compared to 6-7 seconds before

Are you able to plane at a lower speed with the new 5 blade?

Yes much lower, I think I can hold a plane now around 18-20mph even with towing a tube with 4 ppl.

Hell when Im towing the tube with 4 people and I trim up and pulse the throttle WOT and back I can get the boat to literally dolphin out of the water. I need to get a video of it.
But yes its great for water sports, I was hitting red line at about 5100 and I can still hit 66 on GPS with full tanks an 4 people

Over all great prop for over all playing around. I put the 26p Stock prop on for tomorrow since we are just going to be running around wide open. I sure hope the Bravo 1x hold up to that 5 blade 21p

I put the 26p back on for our trip out last night and man what a difference. we had 7 people on the boat and full of fuel and jesus H, that thing takes forever to get out of the hole. I was looking at the sky for 10 seconds just to get up on a plane.

I was able to hit 69 at WOT trimmed up with all those people and the bow cover off. Im thinking with the cover on and 2 people I should be able to do 74-75?

We had a blast, went out to watch the fire work show and caught some major air a few times. The rage just jumps out of the water and lands so smoothly it almost gives you a false sense of security about jumping. I could see how a novice boater could get him self into some serious trouble if your not careful. But we were being safe and had a great time
