Default no power tomain red wire, or starter . help me please.

ive got power to the purple small wire but the large red one is dead, on both engines, ive traced the harness and it has it under the sides of the hull but in the rear it don't,im banging my head against the wall, will the ground work on aluminum heads, or does it need to be moved, also I ran the main red wire from my crane box to my starters will that work was told they needed to be wired directly to the battery.

Hey Johnny, Your mailbox on your phone is full. The harness I have shows the start solenoid wire is yellow with a red stripe. It runs from the starter solenoid to the slave solenoid & the wires from that solenoid into the plug are the same color. Did you check the 50 amp breaker? As far as a ground the block would be a better place for a ground connection, the different metals in the head, bolt, & wire terminal will be a source of corrosion. Your ignition box is effectively wired to the battery when you hook it to the battery terminal on the starter. Give me a call when you get a chance. Randy

no fuse, does anyone know where the big red wire gets its feed, does the battery cable attached to the starter feed the power to the switch?

should be start battery to battery switch and then directly to the starter solenoid.

does it get its power from the battery to the switch then back to the starter? if so than the problem must be in the starter slave cyl. but with both engines doing the same dont sound right.
