Default Interlux AWL GRIP refinish on my 1989 Donzi Black Widow - PHOTOS

Purchased the boat a little over 3 months ago. When I got it the boat was in pretty rough shape cosmetically (much worse than the photo shows). First thoughts were to restore the existing gel but once I got into sanding it down we realized it was too far gone. Tons of tiny pinholes and extreme oxidation. At that point we decided to re-finish the red in AWL GRIP. Here are a few photos of the process.

Finished product with new rub rail and decals:

looks great and you made the right choice to paint it. years (and years) ago Fountain built a bunch of all red boats. I was up there once and there were several of them back to be painted as the red had faded so bad they were almost white. red gel never seems to be good for more than a couple of years.

Thanks man. Yea, once I spent ~20 hours on just sanding/buffing the transom just to yield sub-par results I decided to paint it. Not to mention it would eventually fade again and have to be continually maintained. AWL GRIP is awesome, no fade - almost zero maintenance.
