I have just moved to Sarasota to take a job with a design firm in town and I am totally new to the area. I would like to get to know some fellow like minded boaters as well as get to know the good boating areas around Sarasota/St. Pete area. If anyone on the board is from the area and has suggestions I would love to hear them!

We live on Bowles Creeks off of Sarasota Bay. The boating is awesome here. When we are home, we are out most weekends in our 24' Skater. We like to boat All over from Venice to Tampa bay....

This is a great place to boat and we're out almost every weekend... Lot of sandbars, restaurants on the water and the Offshore Race will be happening in a few weeks.
