It's been really, really fun, a little frustrating at times but fun to follow the saga of this engine. It is something that, because of publication frequency, you couldn't do in a magazine but lends itself perfectly to Internet coverage.

And it's one of those, "Since we've come this far, we can't stop now" kind of things. Is it overkill? Maybe, but again, "Since we've come this far ... "

I was laughing about it, actually, with Mike D'Anniballe when I spoke to him on Friday. I told him that now he pretty much had to finish, because if he didn't that, too, will be reported.

I've been told I'll get one of the first official rides in the Skater with the 1700s—with John Tomlinson driving of course—when it's done. I'm looking forward to that day. Until then, the reporting continues.

Well I can vouch for a fact that Mike is committed to finishing the engines and he's working on them. He's working with some of the best vendors in the business to build a product that not only works for this application but one that will be a great option to the factory power form the guys in black. Don't doubt Sterling for a minute these guys have been around a long time building incredible engines they are merely dotting "I's" and crossing "T's"
