Leaving boat trailer hooked to truck all week. Will it hurt anything?

When doing such, I put the foot down on the tongue stand and raise the weight off the springs of the truck a bit. Lift it up about an inch from it's at rest state. It's good for the springs on the truck. and the main reason I do it is if someone tries to steal the truck and boat/trailer. it will make a helluva lot of noise on the way out of the driveway.

I only use my truck for boat related travel and it stays hooked up quite a bit. As said above I release the weight from the truck while parked. Just don't forget to pull the leg up before you get in and go lol.

I don't like leaving a lot weight on the springs. Every once in a while While I would have to leave the truck bed loaded, I would take a floor jack and a block of wood and jack it up just a bit. With the Firestone air bags I don't worry about it anymore. Doug.
