Default Add on hydraulic steering issue

Had a Mayfair hydraulic steering system added last week and having some trouble with it.
It is a dual ram setup added to a Saginaw system. Hooked up per their instructions.
When I started the engine, with the power steering pump, the pump whined pretty bad and the steering wheel actually turned to the right.
I tried to work the wheel back and forth to get any air out, but it was extremely stiff. stiff enough to actually damage the steering cable.

Any ideas? trying to have it fixed by the weekend.

I actually tried to just buy the parts to make it complete hydraulic, but Scott who works at the supplier of my system has been a real treat. So I just want this system to work so I can be done and enjoy a little of summer if it gets here.

Thanks Rich

Any updates on this? I just added a system too (Marine Machine) and mine is also a little stiff. It's ok while underway, but around the dock and in no wake zones it's a little rough. Wondering what I should check out.
