Default Volvo DPX running at high altitude

I have a Warlock running a single 600 DPX package running a 1.59:1 gear ratio with a set of DPX E2 props, at 6,223 elevation I am only running 3,550- 3,600 RPM WOT reaching about 45 MPH. I don't want to change the gear ratio but the E2 props are the lowest pitch props available for the DPX drive. However if you look at a Volvo Penta DP drive that runs the F series props there are much lower pitches. After inspecting both the E and F series props it looks like the inside bore of the F series will accept the E series hubs. I am planning on having some E series hubs installed in a set of F3 props, visibly lower pitch. I can not find any Volvo Penta tech help online and the local dealer does not want to get involved. Does anyone know if this has been done before? Or does anyone know of an aftermarket prop company that produces props for the DPX drive? Or does anyone know how/ where I can convert the Volvo prop numbering system to inches of pitch?

Call Don at West Isle. Tell him I sent you. If he can't help you, write me back.

Hi Brett, thank you for the referral. I got a call from Don yesterday, very knowledgeable man, He pointed me towards Helmets down in San Francisco for a 1.78:1 gear change, I believe that this will get us 300-400 RPM gain bringing the boat up to 3,800-4,000 RPM WOT .
Volvo Penta does not acknowledge that the hubs are interchangeable,
Do you think that you can get another 400 RPM by working the props?

Glad Don could help.

No, I think we can get about 200.
