New project 313 Chis Craft Stinger Center Console
Was in the market for a 23-26' Center Console. Was close to buying a 26' Scarab CC, but guy thought he had gold. Bought a 31'. Price was too good to pass up
Bought the boat without doing a leakdown or compression test or bay test on the boat. (No batteries or water). Guy told me motors were rebuilt and showed me an invoice for 12K that looked like a kid wrote it. Guy was asking $8K. Made an offer on boat based on motors being junk since he could not demo. He accepted offer. Next day put batteries and did comp test. Motors were 120 on one motor and 118 on other (ALL SIX ON EACH!
) Replaced a throttle cable, new hydraulic steering hoses, new batteries and new props. Ripped out interior to send out for restoration. Dropped boat in water and absolutely love the ride. Gonna use it for the summer. Big plans for it this winter, gonna be a fun project. Cant post pics so will put on photobucket with link.
