I am looking at a 24 outboard apache. I didn't even know that they existed. The owner says it is a 1999 and the hin starts with a APH. I did some searches but didn't come up with much. What is the story here? He said that he thinks 5 were made 3 inboard and 2 outboard and the other outboard is some where in New Jersey. Anybody got some info?

I didn't get a chance to talk with Bobby (about the 24) but I did talk with Mark McManus who says he has the 24 molds. Eric Froberg I believe had the company Cherokee that built at least one OB version from the same molds. I think Froberg sent me a few pics way back then. McManus was very helpful but has no time or motivation to build one. He quoted me about 150K for a 24 with stock IO! but tried to steer me to a 28 with single Ilmor for a cool 250K. I would have loved to have one built but not too many regular Joe's have that kind of funds. Good luck with the search and buy.
