River here is flooded but going down. Getting things ready, testing equipment, change oil ect... Saftey kill switch inop. Button pops out but stays running. tapped on it and it died... well, this just wont do. Anyone have any gripes against one or another? I tend to hook it to my shorts this last one worked fine for that. If it was going to work at all. was going to go with this one. Mercury Racing Style Ignition Kill Switch For Points Or Electronic Ignitions - CP Performance

I use that style which was stock on my boat. Make sure you order the proper kill switch. Normally Open or Normally Closed. Mine are 3 wire and will work either way. Also buy a couple extra caps. Just in case you are thrown from the boat it would be nice that others could start the boat and retrieve you.

I use this style, Saf-T-Stop Switch - CP Performance ,don't have to worry about an extra cap, just flip the switch.

Yeah. That's the one you want so if worst case you do get tossed, if somebody remains they don't have to find a new cap.
